Central Turf & Irrigation Supply appoints golf irrigation manager

Central Turf & Irrigation Supply, Inc., a North American distributor of irrigation, landscape, lighting and equipment supplies, appointed Joe Witzler to national golf irrigation manager.

The position was created to accelerate sales and improve customer service in its golf division, which distributes the Hunter Golf line in the Northeast United States as well as a full line of golf course supplies.

Witzler is a 30-year veteran of the golf industry with experience as a golf irrigation contractor, system designer, salesman and manager. “We know golf courses demand a supplier who is reliable and accountable. We can now capitalize on this opportunity. Joe has done a great job in understanding superintendents’ needs and providing practical solutions,” says Bernardo Luciano, the company’s president.

Witzler will oversee all golf sales for the company, including full golf course irrigation design, planning and estimating. He will be the resource for golf supplies, such as drainage, tools, pond care and fertilizer.
